Our tapas are plates designed to share, order a selection of them for the table and enjoy the variety.

The bigger your group, the more flavours you will be able to sample. Food is best enjoyed freshly made, so our dishes are brought to your table as they are being prepared, some are fast and some take a little longer. Don’t miss out on our delicious desserts and cheese selection. If you are feeling adventurous, try a chef’s selection! Your server will be happy to help.

Venue

Gothenburg is located on the lower floor of the ANZ Centre on 17 Grantham Street. 

Our stunning dining room has an airy feel with floor to ceiling windows and an amazing view of the Waikato River banks. Our outdoor terrace is a calm spot in the centre of the city where you can enjoy tapas or a drink on a sunny day.

Gothenburg is just as suited for casual meals as special occasions, after work drinks or a coffee on the terrace, so come and enjoy our beautiful location by the river.

Functions

Location

Our restaurant is situated right in the middle of central Hamilton, but tucked away in a very quiet spot by the river. 

We are a popular destination for riders on the Te Awa River Trail and a nice stop on the way for visitors to the Hamilton Gardens. We are located right next to the Hamilton Museum and soon not far from the new Waikato Regional Theatre which is due to open in 2025. We are very proud to take part in what Hamilton offers to locals and visitors to the Waikato region.
